Joshua Bonnetta - The Pines
In The Pines, Joshua Bonnetta documents the sound of a forest over the course of a year, using continuous recordings made from a single pine tree in upstate New York. Captured over 8,760 hours and analysed with bioacoustics tools, the sounds were composed into four seasonal chapters. The session proposes a deep listening of the forest's acoustic ecology and asks: how does a soundscape change when humans disappear?
